Our Location

Los Lunas is a village in the rural Valencia County, New Mexico, about 30 minutes south of Alburquerque. The population is approximately 24,877, and the elevation is 4,850. Los Lunas is located just off Interstate highway 25, although far more scenic back roads, like NM 314, also access the town. The nearest major airport is in Albuquerque.

Because Los Lunas is situated slightly lower than the terrain to its east and west, it has some protection from the intense winds that pummel the region in the springtime. It also has protection from urban sprawl due to its natural boundaries. In the north as a buffer from Alburquerque growth lies the Isleta Indian Pueblo. To the east lies the Rio Grande River and the Bosque. Ten miles south lies the small town of Belen. The growth of Los Lunas is occurring in the west, but is halted 16 miles away at the Laguna Indian Reservation lands.
